If you are disabled in a way that prevents you from doing the work you did previously, you may be entitled to Social Security Income (SSI) Disability benefits. This also may apply if your injury or disability prevents you from doing other jobs for 1 year or more.

Keep in mind that if you are receiving Social Security Income (SSI) Disability Benefits and you leave the country for more than 30 days, your benefits will cease. You should also let the government know if and when you are leaving, even if it's for less than 30 days.

For additional information on SSI Disability benefits, visit www.socialsecurity.gov. You are also welcome to contact the attorneys associated with this web site for a free evaluation.
