Plane Crashes Off Miami Beach Today

A Chalk's Ocean Airways sea plane crashed within site of Miami Beach this afternoon, killing at least 14 of its 20 passengers as reported by the Miami Herald. At least 14 of the victim's bodies had been recovered by 4:45 today.

There are currently no reports of survivors of the crash and the cause of the accident is unclear at the moment. Witnesses reported seeing the seaplane smoking before it burst into flames lost a wing before it tumbled into the water near Government Cut around 2:30 this afternoon. With more than a dozen deaths, this accident appears to be the most deadly accident in Chalk's 85 year history.
