Kendrick Sherman of Bimini filed a lawsuit against Chalk's Ocean Airways in Miami-Dade Cicuit Court Tuesday, alleging Chalk's knew of corrosion in the wings of their aging planes as early as ten years ago, according to the Sun Sentinel yesterday. Chalk's has been financially challenged over the past few years (which may mean the planes have been poorly maintained), but plaintiffs in the case against the airline may have an insurance policy worth $50 Million if a jury finds the airline was negligent in maintaining the planes.
