"Judicial Hellholes"

Today the American Tort Reform Association ("ATRA") released its list of the top ten "judicial hellholes."
South Florida topped the list. News outlets across the country picked up the press release and largely ran it unfiltered. So what was left out?

How about a list of some of the members of ATRA? Included in this illustrious list of members are large pharmaceutical companies like Pfizer and Wyeth, insurance companies like State Farm, and big business lobbying groups like Physician Insurers Association of America and SnowSports Industries America. Or, perhaps even some analysis about the real agenda of the ATRA? To limit injured victim's access to courts thereby enhancing the bottom line of ATRA's corporate membership. It doesn't take a whole lot of thought to connect those dots, unfortunately even that minimal analysis seems beyond the reach of most media outlets.
