Heinz Kerry Sellted Wrongful Death Lawsuit for $15M

Recently unsealed court documents reveal that Teresa Heinz Kerry received $15 million in a wrongful death lawsuit filed after her first husband died in a 1991 plane crash. Kerry sued Lycoming Air Services, the owner of the plane on which her husband was flying, and Sun Co., Inc. the owner of the helicopter that collided with Kerry's husband's plane, alledging that neither properly trained their flight crews. The crash killed Senator John Heinz and six others. According to the Miami Herald, details of the settlement had been sealed at the family's request in order to protect their privacy.
